Here are some UPDATES with what's going on.........how time flies!
There was a death in our family and my sister in law's mother passed away. It was sad, but the positive side of that was spending time with my niece and nephew. I baby sat them the night of the wake and we had loads of fun. My niece loves to raid my closet and jewelry case, so she discovered some hair bows that my gf custom made for me. She requests that I tell my gf to make her 2 little hot pink bows with heart rhinestones in the center. Then she can wear them to school and no one else has the same as her. What a brat! I heart them!!! But I always feel like I never get enough time to hang out with them. :( *sniff*
Recently got free 3rd row tickets to the sold out Van Halen (NOT Van Hagar - ew) show in Reno. BEST SHOW EVER. Diamond Dave put on an amazing show and he is by far my favorite front man. I know most people are thinking why go to Reno for shows? Well first off, they're free for me, we always get at least 2nd or 3rd row seats front of the stage, we love the Reno Event center, the fans are awesome and there is a different kind of energy at these shows. Our suite had a cheesy hot tub and I got carried away with the bubbles! :D
On April 22nd, I (finally) adopted a kitten!!!!! I was so happy because i've been wanting a cat for quite some time now. So that day we happened to drop by the Oakland Pound Animal Shelter and we saw him! He's a 3 month and 3 lb love bug who is extremely vocal since he wants the last word/meow. Named him Ziggy of course, as in Ziggy Stardust from David Bowie. A few months ago I was contemplating on getting a Bengal kitten, which would cost me about $500. It just seemed like too big of an investment and didn't make sense when I could just save a cat by adopting one at the shelter. I adopted Ziggy for only $20 (!!!!) because he was already fixed, vaccinated, and a black cat - which are least desirable bc of superstitions. Stupid. It's been a week now and i've been a home-fry. These days I just don't feel like going out as much anymore and just want to stay home and chill with Ziggy. When I am out, I'm constantly thinking and missing him so i'll look at my camera pictures of him. I'm even more obsessed with cats now! hahaha. I may be taking Ziggy on his first road trip when we drive to L.A. next week.
BTW.... he has a brother who may still be at the pound. Go adopt him now!!!!!!!!!!!
Our friends Tom & Alex recently left to start a new life in NYC! We're sad, but we know that we will be visiting them soon. So instead of sad goodbyes I just said see you later! Alex will be tour managing for N.K.O.T.B!!!! I was a die hard fan back in the day...so I told her it was important that I meet Jordan Knight. Ha!
My 33rd birthday is just around the corner - JUNE 9th! Birthday plans are in the works and the bash will be on the 7th, so I'm pretty stoked about it. I also want to plan a mini vacation, which might be a little hard now that I have a kitten. But I may look into kennels where he can stay. I don't know if I want to leave him home alone for so many days, and come back to find my place a complete disaster! We'll see though.
Can't believe it's already Thursday!!!!!!! Yay the weekend is near. :)
